About US ORT Operations

US ORT Operations is the programmatic arm of its sponsoring organizations, American ORT and Women's American ORT. Among ORT's USA activities, it currently provides two post-secondary technical schools and a junior college at locations in California, Illinois and New York. It also maintains Computer centers in Florida, Ohio and Georgia. In addition, ORT provides an extensive collection of Internet and multimedia resources dedicated specifically to the use of technology in Jewish education. The focus is on the use of state-of-the-art technology and methodology in all aspects of education, with a special emphasis on Judaica. ORT is particularly proud of its educational materials and programs related to teaching about modern Israel, Hebrew language instruction, and Holocaust Studies.

About Bramson ORT College

Bramson ORT College is an undergraduate college in New York City operated by ORT America and US ORT Operations, the American branch of the Jewish charity World ORT. Its main campus is in Forest Hills, Queens, with a satellite campus in Brooklyn.

Based in New York City, Bramson ORT College is dedicated to providing each of its students with a college level technical, business or health services education. Upon successful completion of any program, a student can seek out and succeed in a challenging employment opportunity with an established or emerging company in business, technology or healthcare. Graduates excel with the skills and knowledge required for career advancement, as well as a lifelong interest in professional and humanistic learning into their programs of study.

Bramson ORT College is accredited by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York. Associate's degree, certificate and diploma programs are registered by the New York State Education Department, which has accredited the school since 1979. Bramson ORT College is a not-for-profit educational institution.

Starting in fall 2008, the school will offer boys aged 16-20 a curriculum of yeshiva studies in the morning and vocational training in the afternoon, in a joint program with Chabad aimed at students at risk of dropping out of a traditional yeshiva program. Upon completion of the program, students will receive a GED (for those without a high school diploma), as well as an Associate of Arts degree in their chosen area of study.
